Tomorrow the Island Dies is a folk horror musical about a group of young people stranded on an island that is about to be destroyed by a huge storm. However after a young man is found dead on the shore line brutal accusations and haunting secrets create division and ultimately death.
Alexandria was honored to originate the role of Shauna, a Queen-be-wanna-be shopkeeper with a sister named Shelly. Shauna is sassy, defensive, and a little bit rude, but there was much more under the surface. It was such a cool experience for Alexandria to create a roll that was completely new, but as much fun as it was creating Shauna, it was also a challenge. She learned how to lean into deep characters with personalities and problems beyond anything she had personally experienced.
The story itself is a challenge but under the direction of Chelsea Nicholson and the supervision and wisdom from Ryan himself, it grew Alexandria more than anything else. Along with her wonderful college peers (and her best friends ever) the world of Haverness was born, and its legacy is still living on!
